Product information

The Megazyme Formic Acid Assay Kit (K-FORM) is an enzymatic assay kit designed for the rapid, accurate, and reliable determination of formic acid (formate) in food products, beverages, and various biological and industrial samples. The method is suitable for use with spectrophotometers, microplate readers, and automated analyzers.

The assay provides high sensitivity and excellent analytical precision, making it ideal for quality control and research applications. Measurement is based on monitoring absorbance changes at 340 nm, and the analysis is completed in approximately 12 minutes. The detection limit is as low as 0.0932 mg/L.

The kit contains a stable formate dehydrogenase suspension, minimizing reagent waste and improving ease of use. Included pyrazole suppresses interference from alcohol dehydrogenase, enhancing analytical reliability, particularly in beverage samples. All reagents remain stable for more than two years when stored under recommended conditions.
